Bryce Zimmerer will march in the Parade of Champions this afternoon at the CHI Health Center Arena in Omaha.

So will Noah Scott of Randolph, who Zimmerer will face on the mats in the championships for their high school wrestling finale. Both wrestlers are seniors.

The championship session is set to begin at 2 p.m.

The Creighton grappler won his 170-pound semifinal bout Friday night with a 6-1 decision over Jarin Potts of Amherst, taking his season to 37-3.

Scott defeated Chase Hausermann of Franklin, his 39th win of the season. He has four losses, two of them to the Bulldog wrestler, while handing Zimmerer all three of his losses.

It is not the first time the area wrestlers have met at the Omaha venue. Zimmerer defeated Scott at 145 pounds, in the consolations at the 2017 state tournament, on the way to his first state wrestling medal.

Creighton junior Cody Hanvey wrestled back with a first-round consolation win Friday morning, pinning Logan Gregory of  Arcadia-Loup City in 1:34.

Hanvey then came up against Jared Shaw of North Central, losing a

4-12 major decision. He ends the season with 29 wins and 10 losses.
